Dear CAFA members:
This is the first announcement for 2009 CAFA annual election.
The 2009-2010 CAFA President, Vice President, and three members of CAFA Board of Directors (will serve the term 2009-2012) will be elected.
In order to make the election process fair and efficient, all voting will be performed only through Internet.
The Election Committee, created by CAFA Board of Directors, would like to proceed as follows, step-by-step, with deadlines:
1. Start the election with the nomination process on August 22, 2009, through noon of September 1, 2009. Please follow the Nomination Guideline in this process.
2. The committee will verify and confirm the nominations and collect their biographies and portrait pictures (pictures are optional) from September 1, 2009 to September 10, 2009.
3. On September 11, 2009, the committee will post the candidates' name list together with their brief biography and pictures (if provided) onto CAFA website for CAFA members to vote.
4. The online voting system will be open to all CAFA members from September 11, 2009 to noon of September 21, 2009 (Voting Guideline will be sent out later).
5. The Committee will count and then announce the final voting results by September 22, 2009.
The Election Committee members will stay neutral in the election process with no expressed bias toward or against any candidate. All election-related information sent to or received by the Election Committee will stay confidential within the Election Committee during the election. The Election Committee reserves the sole right to interpret any and all election rules, and the sole right to change the election dates if needed.
CAFA will not grow without your participation. Now it is the time to use your right to nominate and to elect persons who can serve for CAFA and our community in the next year!
