Nomination Guidelines for 2009 CAFA Annual Election

 

1. What Positions to Nominate for?

 

Nominations are invited for new President and Vice President with a one-year term (2009-2010), and three Members of Board of Directors all with a three-year term (2009-2012). 

 

2. Who Can Nominate Whom?

 

All CAFA members, who are active by the time of nomination (those who paid 2009 membership due by Septempber 1, 2009), are eligible to nominate and to be nominated.  Per CAFA By-laws, however, any nomination should be filed by at least three CAFA members. Self nomination is allowed and encouraged.

 

3. When Can One Nominate?

 

Nomination will start from August 22, 2009 and will end at noon of September 1, 2009.

 

4. How to Nominate?

 

 If you would like to nominate someone, please send the following nomination email to the CAFA Election Committe at election@cafanc.org:

A nomination should contain the title of the position, and the nominees’ and nominators’ full names, phone numbers, email addresses, and CAFA IDs as appeared on your 2009 CAFA Membership Card.

 

A nomination should be filed by at least three active CAFA members and sent to election@cafanc.org.

 

Members who are not able to access any email system may call any member of the Election Committee for other arrangements. Please call another member of the committee if you fail to reach one committee member.

 

We will send an email to you to confirm the receipt of your nomination within 3 days. Please contact us if you do not receive such an email after you send your nomination.

 

5. What does a candidate need to provide for the election?

 

In addition to necessary personal information (name, CAFA ID number, phone number, email), we require each candidate to provide a running statement (no more than 2000 words), a short biography (no more than 500 words) and a portrait picture (optional, no more than 2M in size).

 

6. Questions?
