CAFA Is Seeking Volunteers
Dear CAFA Members and Friends,
CAFA is participating in the 23rd International Festival of Raleigh to be held on Friday 9/5 and Saturday 9/6. Many volunteers, especially on Friday 9/5 when many of us need to work, will be needed. Please join us by contacting our volunteer coordinator for your potential volunteer work:
- Contact Weijiong Li at weijiong@aol.com or 919-744-8665
- Shifts: Friday and/or Saturday, 9:00 AM ~ 4:00 PM, and/or 3:00 PM ~ 10:00 PM.
The annual International Festival of Raleigh is an annual celebration of dance, food, and music from around the globe. It brings ethnic groups together to share traditions and celebrate their unique differences. It also allows native North Carolinians the ability to visit the world in their own backyard. This year, the Festival will also be featured as follows:
- It will be one part of the grand opening of the new Convention Center in Raleigh downtown, so there will be much more other celebration activities including parades in or around Convention Center.
- The admission is FREE, and the organizer is expecting a record high number of visitors.
- The event web site is at: http://www.internationalfestival.org
This is the second year CAFA participates in this community event, and we are seeking for necessary volunteer support from our members and friends to jointly present Chinese culture to our community. Your commitment to one or two shifts of volunteer work will be greatly appreciated!
Please feel free to contact Weijiong or myself if you have any questions. Thank you!
