As a non-profit organization, CAFA offers the China visa service as a community service with a substantial low service fee.   Please review the Embassy's visa fee and CAFA's shipping and handling fee.

China Visa Application Procedure:

1. Please first submit an online application: http://www.cafanc.org/visa/register/

2. Please prepare the following documents:

·         An online confirmation email with an application ID after filling out the online application form.

·         Your passport. It should be valid for at least 6 months and have at least one blank "Visa" page.  For single entry or double entry visa, your first entry date to China must be within 3 months of your application date. For any multiple-entry visa, you can use it to enter China any time before it expires.

·        A photocopy of your passport page that shows your name, photo, passport number and expiration date.

·         A filled official China Visa application form.  Please download and fill out the official China Visa Application Form required by the Chinese Embassy.  For X, Z, D or J-1 VISA HOLDER - The applicant shall go through residential formalities in the local public security department within 30 days of the entry date.   Two-year multiple entry visa is for those US citizens who were born in China and their foreign-born children. It is subject to visa official's approval, who may grant one-year multiple instead. Since the Visa Application Form Item 2.2 does not have a selection for 2-year, please check the box of "Multi-entry valid for 12 months," then cross out "12 months," and write "Two-Year."

·         One 2"x2" color photo affixed on the visa application form.  See the photo requirements.

·         Payment: A single money order or personal check for the total amount payable to CAFA. Please do not write any separate check for the Chinese Embassy.

·         Other required documents as specified in the instruction. Click for Tourist/Family Visit or Business or other types of visa (work, study, transit). Physical exam form is not needed for a tourist visa.

·         Born in China  (Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong or Macau)- If you were born in China and there is no previous Chinese visa on your current passport, you are required to submit your original Chinese passport or a photocopy of last foreign passport with a previous Chinese visa.

·         Foreign Born Chinese Child - If you apply a visa for your child under 18, who is a Chinese descent born in foreign country, you must include photocopies of your child's birth certificate and your or your spouse's foreign passport or foreign permanent resident card. Please do not send your originals.

Note - Please make sure all visa requirements are met. We will submit your documents to the Chinese Embassy in DC, and we will not validate your application. We cannot be responsible for any delay caused by unmet requirements or denial of visa by the consulate. Our processing and delivery fees are non-refundable. We use FedEx to deliver your documents; therefore, any loss or delay is subject to the rules and policies of FedEx solely.

• 申请者护照，自申请日期起，护照需有至少六个月的有效期和一张空白签证页。申请一次或二次签证者，第一次进入中国的日期必须在你申请日期的三个月内。多次入境者可以在签发有效期内任何时间入境。
• 请下载和准确填写官方签证申请表 (http://www.cafanc.org/visa/visa_form.pdf)。签发各类期限签证，费用请参考中国驻美使馆网站的通知。
• 准备一张申请人彩色照片，贴附在签证申请表上。使馆签证官只接受标准照片。
• 付费方式：按送交或邮寄文件内附一张银行支票(Money Order) 或个人支票，抬头请写：CAFA，或者通过网上PAYPAL支付所有申请费和服务费。退还支票费，额外收取$30美元。
• 第一次申请前往中国签证的原中国籍(含台、港、澳）华人，需提供原中国籍护照原件，使馆不接受复印件。
• 出生于台湾的美国公民，需提供愿护照复印件、原官方身份证明或出生证明。
• 新换护照者，需提供最后一次去中国签证的复印件。
• 儿童第一次前往中国，需提供出生证原件，父母绿卡复印件等有关文件。具体内容，请参照使馆网站。
• 如果申请两年多次签证，需要将申请表中的“12月”改写成“24月” ，但取决于使馆签证官员的批准
